First Continental Congress
Valley Forge took place in the Winter of 1777-1778. Friedrich von Steuben (an army officer) comes in and teaches basic military skills. More than one fifth died from disease and malnutrition. The American Troops were not prepared food-wise or clothing-wise.
The Declaration of Independence is a statement of the American colonies declaring their independence of Great Britain. This took place during the Second Continental Congress. A committee of 5 drafted it and was then voted on by Congress.
During the First Continental Congress, colonists continue to boycott. Colonial militias must be ready to fight at any given minute. There was a list of rights written and given to the king to agree.
