  • I got a really bad score. I did not do well.

  • Sure, a multiple is the result of multiplying a number by another whole number.
  • Example: Multiples of 3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, ....
  • I do not know what is a multiple. Can you teach me?
  • So, 15 is a multiple of 3 because 3 X 5 = 15
  • A common multiple is a multiple that you can find in 2 or more numbers.
  • Example: Multiples of 5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, .... Multiples of 6: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60, ....
  • How about common multiples?
  • So, one of the common multiples of 5 and 6 is 30 because 5 X 6 = 30 and 6 X 5 = 30.
