story of the most dangerous game
"It was a distant sound, faint and wavering, but he knew it. It was the baying pack of hounds". (Connell 35)
This stood out to me because it shows Rainsford fear leading up to him jumping.
"Rainsford hesitated. He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea" (Connell 35)
This stood out to me because Rainsford didn't really have any other choice and didn't know if he was going to survive but took the risk.
"Rainsford?!" How in God's name did you get hear?!!" (Connell 36)
"Swam, I found it quicker than walking" (Connell 36)
This finally scene stood out to me because I thought it was funny that Rainsford kind of scared General Zaroff and showed that he won the hunt.
