McCulloch vs Maryland
By aecrowl, Updated
This storyboard does not have a description.
I'm bank owner James W. McCulloch
As a representative of the Congress we are creating our Second National Bank to control unregulated currency in state banks!
Maryland says heck to that! We are taxing on all banks not chartered by the state
Yeah that's funny, I refuse to pay these ridiculous taxes on my bank. We're going to court!
However the Supreme Court said Maryland could not tax the National Bank granting the federal government more power.
And so, the Congress was granted to incorporate the bank and Maryland could not tax them. This case changed everything between state and federal power.
