She fell straight to the ground. She fell down, down, down. She hit the ground with a bang, a crash, and a pound. "Ow," Lydia said, holding her head in her hand, "that certainly didn't go as planned."
Her father flew out of the house, he had heard the crash, "Lydia!" He yelled, "Why on earth did you do that?!" "I just wanted to fly," she said with a frown, "but when I tried, I just fell down, down, down."
Her dad sighed, he took a big deep breath, "Lydia, my dear you can't fly, and that's that." Lydia looked real sad, this was unlike her dad. However, she didn't know the idea he'd had.
"Lydia, honey, why don't we go for a swim? The water's fun and its blue, its perfect for you!" Lydia stood up, "Why not," she said, "I suppose that's better than hurting my head."
They entered the water, though cold it may be, and Lydia loved it more than you and me! She learned to glide all through the water. She may not be able to fly, but she swims, and that does it!
