Act 5, scene 1
Balthasar: "Her body sleeps in Capels` monument and her immortal part with angels lives." (lines 18-19)
Act 5, scene 2
Friar John: "Where the infectious pestilence did reign, sealed up the doors and would not let us forth, so that my speed to Mantua there was stayed." (lines 10-12)
Act 5, scene 3
Romeo: Here`s to my love. O true apothecary, thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die." (lines 120-121)
Balthasar arrives in Mantua to inform Romeo of Juliet`s death. Romeo sends him away to hire horses so that they can return to Verona. Before leaving, Romeo buys poison so that he can join Juliet in death.
Friar John enters Friar Lawrence`s cell with the letter that was to be sent to Romeo, and tells him that he wasn't able to send the letter. Friar Lawrence goes to the tomb so that he is there when Juliet comes out of her trance.
Paris visits Juliet`s tomb and challenges Romeo when he arrives. Paris is killed, and Romeo drinks the potion and drinks and kisses Juliet as he dies. Friar Lawrence enters te tomb and finds Romeo dead, but leaves the tomb after being frightened by a noise. Juliet awakes from her sleep and kills herself with Romeo`s dagger. The Capulets, Montagues, and the Prince arrive. Friar Lawrence tells them of Juliet's and Romeo`s marriage and the families agree to end their hostility.
