Storyboard Text

  • Tone
  • I can finally walk!!!
  • Mood
  • Brother's Character traits
  • Start walking!!!
  • Hopeful: The tone of this scene is hopeful because it is the first time that Doodle was able to walk successfully.
  • Doodle's Character Traits
  • Depressed: This scene made me feel depressed because it shows how Doodle had to bury something that he really loved.
  • Theme
  • Brother is a static character because he stays the same throughout the story. He is mean, a downer, and he's jealous of other people. Also, he is persistent to Doodle because he always tries to make him walk. So he's this type of person because he is always negative.
  • Figurative Language
  • Doodle is a dynamic character because he changes throughout the story. He is not all there yet, he is determined, friendly, and wants to be at his full potential. However, he does learn how to walk, and became more active. Sadly, he died at a young age while running in a storm.
  • Theme: The theme in this story is to never doubt someone, because you never know what their capable of, and could have lots of potential in them.
  • Simile: "He collapsed onto the grass like a half-empty flour sack."      The author used this simile to show how Doodle was not yet capable of walking on his own, but his brother kept on demanding him to walk. Simile: "Success lay at the end of summer like a pot of gold, and our campaign got off to a good start."      The author used this simile to show how Doodle and his brother made lots of progress through the summer, because they didn't make much through the winter and the spring.
  • I'm gonna show you how to row a boat !
