Because of the social classes, the peasants had to pay all the taxes.
The nobles were often friends with the king, and they didn't have to pay any taxes.
The kings and queens took care of the country, and did what ever they wanted. Most kings would speed most of the country's money on making their palace bigger.
Since the peasants had to pay all the taxes, they couldn't get the medicine they needed to cure themselves so they wouldn't be sick anymore.
Since the nobles were friends with the kings they often got better jobs that gave better pay unlike the jobs the peasants had to have.
Since the king was the highest monarchy he didn't really care much about the decisions he made, and whether his people liked it or not.
