In the first chapter, Major an old wise pig was fed up with the way humans treated animals because they consume all of there products but don't produce anything themselves. Major wanted things to change so he started a rebellion and the key thing was the song "Beasts of England".
In the second chapter, Snowball, Napoleon and the rest of the pigs had learned to read and write. They came up with the seven commandments after they took over the farm. They also started to develop more meaningful characters.
In the chapters 3 & 4 they were starting to work on their own time and set days and times for every animal to pitch in everyone had different rations for what they did but it was equal. The pigs took charge in leading them and made most decisions because they were smarter in the human language.
