Storyboard Text

  • “And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.”
  • ”Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!
  • ”sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain thrilled me.”
  • “thing of evil!—prophet still, if bird or devil!”
  • “I nodded nearly napping.”
  • All of these things create the overall mood of sadness and loss. The bird symbolized his agony and how there will always be reminders of his lost wife. The way he is acting over the death makes you feel upset for him.
