The Lottery Drawing symbol
Mr Summers name Symbol
Mrs. Delicroix symbol
The Lottery drawing symbolises life and death, and evil of society. When Mrs, H gets pulled, she says, “It isn’t fair” and as she gets put up the to the wall, she screams more and more. This also symbolises how tradition should not always stay the same.
Typically, Summer symbolises happiness and fun. In this story, Mr. Summers symbolises death. Even though he is happy he “stirred up the papers inside it” and even said “ok folks, lets get this over with.” He symbolises death.
Typically, the symbol of the cross shows freedom, but Mrs. Delacroix picks up the biggest stone and says “Hurry up” to stone Tessie Hutchinson. As a rule the cross is a good sign, but not here. Therefore, the Lottery is bad all around.
When I think pick, I see a silver, red, or white triangular piece of plastic. I play guitar with picks, and it reminds me my favorite band.
