Storyboard Text

  • Title
  • Paraphrase
  • Connotation
  • The title gives information about a conquistador named Elderado who had went missing. A gallant knight goes on a journey to find him, later discovering he is dead.
  • Attitude
  • A young gallant knight goes on a journey in search of the conquistador Elderado. During the long journey, he grows old, loses hope, and is currently dying. A shadow then tells the knight that he will find Elderado 'Over the mountains of the moon, and down the Valley of he Shadow.' Meaning that the knight could only find him in death.
  • Shift
  • The young knight is not able to find Elderado, most likely because Elderado had already died. Since he does not know this, he keeps going on to the point to where he cannot anymore.
  • Theme
  • The tone sounds happy and perky at first; becomes tiring, hopeless, and unattainable for the rest. Examples include: a gallant knight, sunshine, and singing a song; journeyed long, in search of Elderado, grown old, his heart a shadow, no spot of ground, and has failed him.
  • The shift occurs when the once gallant knight grows old and weary from searching for Elderado for so long.
  • Don't waste your life on something that could take it away.
