Hi, my name is Nicky. I go to Eblen Intermediate. I stutter and I go to speech class to get better.
Stuttering is when you bounce on a word. Another way to say it is that stuttering is the "hard way" of saying a word.
For me to get better, I had to learn some strategies.
One strategy I learned is saying words the "easy way". The "easy way" is when I make the beginning of the word sound longer, like "mmmmmaaaan".
In closing, here are some tips for students and teachers: -Don't complete words or sentences for someone that stutters, and -Take turns talking and listening, so no one feels rushed. Thanks for listening to my story!
