  • Stage:1 Complaining
  • No blacks allowed
  • Stage:2 Protest
  • A government controlled by all whites was gained by a political party called national party in 1948.
  • Stage 3: Revolution
  • Non-whites were not allowed to live, work, or eat in certain places, it was illegal.
  • Stage:4 Recovery
  • Africans of all races protested and started an organization called African National Congress (ANC). 1960, around 60 protesters died and 180 people were wounded while doing a peaceful demonstration.
  • Nelson was put in prison for conspiracy for life with other leaders of the ANC but still with Nelson in jail he still lead the ANC for 25 years.
  • In 15 months thousands of black South Africans died. From 1990 Mandela was released from prison and F. W. de Klerk changed the constitution where any color race can vote. In 1994 Nelson Mandela was voted into office.
