  • Theme
  • Theme development #1
  • Progress Report #3: Theme by Akash Koneru
  • Theme Development #2
  • The theme in my book "Swipe" is to believe in yourself and don't let anyone to discourage you from what you believe in.
  • Theme Development #3
  • Logan Langly, the main character in the book, is believing that he is being followed by some bad people. So eventually he goes home and tells his parents, but his parents don't believe him and take him to therapy. At the end of the story he was actually being followed. In my book Logan's dad says "Logan you are imaginary things after your sister died you changed. You need some help Logan." Logan is the person on the deck and leaving his house to fight the bad guys. Logan can only rely on himself; the image shows that he his by himself. This image also shows Logan leaving his house to fight the bad guys because his parents don't believe him.
  • Thematic Solution
  • The girl in this image is Erin Arbitor. The boy in this image is Logan Langly. They are planning to bring down the people that are following Logan. Erin's father can't help because he also doesn't believe that people are following him. In this book Erin's father says that "You are watching to much spy movies Erin. You have to stop." This image represents Erin and Logan discussing the plan to bring down the bad guys behind Erin's house. This image also shows how important Erin's backyard is. Logan and Erin usually come up with their plans in Erin's yard.
  • Dane Harold is a boy who also believes in being followed, but when he told his parents they didn't believe him. One specific incident that happened in the book was when he was leaving from Logan's house to go home; he saw somebody that was hiding in the woods and was watching him. Eventually Dane ran after him, but the stalker was to quick and ran away. In the book his parents said that "That might have been the raccoons Dane don't worry about it". This quote shows that his parents didn't believe him with the encounter with the stalker. This image shows Dane in Logan's shed where they hung out before the stalker encounter. This is where Logan and Dane play and watch tv in his shed.
  • The solution at the end of the story was that Logan was actually being followed; he was right all along. Logan finally got captured and the group of guys were actually good and was trying to save him from the government capturing him. He This image shows the group of kids and Logan talking about the corrupt government. This image also shows the unity between them.
