Rabbit, I am tired of hearing you brag about how fast you are. I challenge you to a race!
Challenge accepted tortoise!
This will be the easiest race yet!
The next day, all of their friends gathered to watch the race.
As soon as the race started, the hare ran as fast as he could, leaving the tortoise in a cloud of dust as he slowly began the race.
Once the hare was far away, he decided to stop and take a rest as he believed it would be hours before the tortoise reached him.
He was so tired though, that he did not notice when the tortoise passed him on the path.
By the time the hare realized what had happened, the tortoise had already won the race.
Sometimes it is best to go at a slow and steady pace to successfully complete a challenge.
