Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • It's 1889 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Gertrude was sitting on the porch of her family's house. Her father came running home for his shop, claiming they had to run for hill; a big wave was coming and they had to run.
  • Falling Action
  • Gertrude's aunt didn't want to get their feet wet in the rising water, so they turned back and stayed in the house, going to the attic claiming they'll be safe. Even with the giant waves getting closer.
  • Resolution
  • Gertrude was separated from her family when the wave hit. The house had been lifted out of it's foundation and the flooring had collapsed. Now Gertrude was on her own, in a flood.
  • Gertrude managed to get on a floating mattress and float with the rest of the debris. Someone eventually saw her and got her to safety.
  • Gertrude was carried up a hill, by someone unknown to this day. She was left with a family of orphans, and became an orphan herself, for she never saw her family again.
