Greg gets in trouble for his poor grades. He gets grounded by his father who lectures him and tries to explain that his education is more important than playing basketball. Instead of staying home and studying, Greg leaves the house and goes to an old abandoned building where he thinks about his life. There he meets Lemon Brown, a homeless man who teaches him an important lesson about life. After hearing the story of Lemon’s life, and finding out that treasure doesn’t mean something is worth a lot of money, Greg goes home to confront his problems.
Dad can I basketball on the Scorpion
The principal sent a letter to the house talk about your poor efforts in math
some of the guys had held an impromptu checker tournament there the week before and greg had noticed that the door once boarded over had been slightly ajar
Greg when inside in the build and sit in the chair
why is dad not let me play on the basketball team
Don't try nothin' cause I got a razor here sharp enough to cut a week into nine days
Sure Greg said as he sat on the sofa and put one over the back
every man got a treasure .You don't know you mus be a fool
We don't wan to have to come in and hurt you ,but we don't mind if we have to.
Now I see why my dad lecture me because he want my live to better then him
