  • During 1950s, those baby boomers became teenagers. They were the first generation that had extra money to spend. They set themslves apart from the parents, and were known as "countercultures".
  • Residential areas on the outskirts of cities. Provide affordable housing for first-time buyers, it was also called "urban sprawl".
  • This system ensured that Canadians received similar public services wherever they lived, which improved Canadian citizens lives.
