The question of the day class is, How many degrees equal one interior angle of an octagon?
The answer is 1,080
That is incorrect, Can anyone help Elizabeth out?
We learned in class that an Octagon makes 8 different triangles but also, one triangle equals 180 degrees. An Octagon has 8 sides
That is correct Abby but there is something that we're missing. What are we missing?
All sums of interior angle of an Octagon equals 1,080. Elizabeth got her answer by doing 180(8-2)=1,080
I can help out Abby to figure out the correct answer. To figure out one interior angle we learned in class to take 1,080degress/8sides.
That makes sense! Thanks for your help Elizabeth!
