  • Give me independence or give me death
  • The states wanted to be sovereign state or to be their own bosses the states wanted to be.
  • we need a strong central goverment!
  • The people wanted a basic government,so the people came up with the Article of Confederation.
  • the amount of money Americans had was extremely low and people were in debt. The states started printing worthless money and George Washington America would fall apart.

  • states were refusing to go to the convention
  • I don't think we should go.

  • The delegates were not sure what they were going to do. But they had no troubles saying what they were not going to do.
  • in the end the delegates found a way to work together to create the US.
