Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Inciting Incident
  • Rising Action
  • Margot moved from sunny Earth to eternally rainy Venus a few years ago. She longs for the sun and becomes very depressed. Her depression and timid personality leaves her an outcast in her class. The seven years of rain that resided on the planet surely tortured her mentally.
  • Climax
  • Margot is talking to her classmates about the sun and they become jealous. They are jealous because she was able to feel the sun and the last time the sun came out the children were two years old, they get very upset.
  • Falling Action
  • The children become upset with Margot for constantly talking about how the sun will come out that day. They push her and yell at her, even accusing her of lying.
  • Resolution
  • The children are jealous and upset about the fact that Margot has felt and experienced the sun before, so they deny that fact that she is right and they lock her in the closet. She starts screaming and banging on the door but they refuse to let her out to feel the sun again.
  • The sun comes out and the kids run around and play with each other.
  • The children remember that they locked Margot in the closet after the rain had began again, so they solemnly walk back to the closet and let her out.
