  • ~Jackson democracy -Andrew Jackson represented "common men". He wanted to give them the right to vote, he felt that they were being ignored. He was mad that he had lost the election before. He thought that if he gave rights to regular men he would have a better chance of winning The expansion of voting rights helped him win.-giving voting rights to the"common man" not only make more people want to vote for him he gave other people equal rights to vote -I think it was a great because it made the "common man" feel equal
  • {spoils system}Jackson promised a new government. Jackson gave the jobs of government officials to his supporters of his campaign. This began a new political era. Giving government jobs to his supporters became known as the spoils system. The statement became "to the victor belong the spoils of enemy", meaning taking something for your enemy.|when Jackson gives his supports the jobs of the government officials.|If I was working for Jackson this would be good because it would be easy for his supporters to get a job.
  • *Indian removal policy*Andrew Jackson wanted to move the Native Americans. Andrew gave them two choices. There choice to leave&move to the western territories or stay but you can't have their own government within the nation. Jackson made a law that made the pick to leave or stay. The Native American told him "the perils&hardships of the wilderness". Which meant it was going to be hard with them.|Making Naive Americans pick, whether to stay but couldn't have there government within the nation or to leave.| Bed idea, only because his was there land before Americans took it over&on top of that the Americans made them leave even though originally that was there land first.
  • {states rights}The states right'shad been going since the Independence of Britain. This debate was between senate Webster&Hayne Doctrine of nullification. Hayne had said people who try to take power from the state&give it to the federal government are the enemies. Webster wanted freedom&everyone together. Jackson said federal government had the power.|State's rights had going on since the independence of Britain. Hayne fought for federal government power. Jackson gave the power to the federal government.|This was good because it gave freedom to the people.
  • *war on national bank economic decision* Jackson&the bank issue had became come such a big issue during his presidential campaign. Jackson felt the bank issue during his presidential campaign. Jackson felt the bank was a monopoly. only few gained from it. He thought it was unconstitutional. Nicholas Biddle made it hard for people to borrow money but the bank still went out of business. Jackson had won.|Jackson didn't want a bank. Nicholas Biddle wanted it but it only benefited the rich. For those who weren't wealthy he made it hard for them to borrow money. The bank ended up going out of business.| This was good because if it only benefited the wealthy which wasn't far for the middle class or lower class when it come to borrowing money.
