The Giver, transports the memory of the Great Depression to Jonas. Jonas can feel the Givers hands, they are cold once again.
In front of Jonas is a dull colored home, much like his t home, but the look on these peoples faces is far from happy.
Jonas can not believe what he was seeing, there was barely any furniture, although his dwelling was similar in color, the furniture was simply nothing.
Jonas feels a weird disposition. He has never experienced desperation and real sadness.
Jonas feels the coolness of the Giver's hands again, realizing he is back from the memory.
Jonas is confused at what he just experienced, he asks the Giver what he just witnessed and The giver explains the Great Depression.
