  • Will you fund my voyage?
  • What will I gain from this?
  • You will have more countries to trade with, and will gain glory and wealth.
  • Why yes I would love to fund your voyage!
  • Christopher Columbus asks the queen of Spain to fund his voyage. She agreed to do so. This occurred in 1492.
  • Columbus sails across the ocean and finds a "new" world. This occurred during the years 1492-1502.
  • After meeting the natives of this "new" world he went back to England to spread the news of what he discovered.
  • Columbus reached the new word on 12 October, 1492.
  • Columbus returned to spain in 1493.
  • Once he spread the news of his discovery England then wanted to trade with this "new" world and gain what they had. This started the Colombian Exchange.
  • In the Colombian Exchange the old world traded with what they believed to be a "new" world. This has still influenced trading even today.
  • After Columbus reached the Caribbean the Colombian Exchange began. This occurred in 1492.
  • The deaths of these natives also occurred in the year 1492, after the trade agreement.
