  • Germany called a seize fire in 1918, they couldn't fight anymore. The allied forces had won and they made the Treaty of Versailles. Kaiser Wilhelm abdicated and Germany was in debt. It's economy went into free fall
  • The new chancellor of Germany promised that there wouldn't be another war. Between 1924 and 1928, social life improved dramatically in Germany. In 1926 Germany was allowed into The League of Nations.
  • In 1929 The Wall Street crash happened. Loans that Germany had from America had to be paid back. The chancellor died and Hitler's party promised jobs but so did communist parties. They fought on the streets deliberately to show how weak the government was.
  • The Nazi party was sworn into government in 1933 and at first, with no war. But then the SS and Gestapo took Jews to ghettos. Children were obligated to join youth camps. They were separated from Christians with jobs and schools.
  • Hitler overturned The Treaty of Versailles and he believed that Germany was superior to Eastern Europe. Between 1939 and 1942 Germany occupied most of of Western Europe and he wanted Russia. This was a mistake as Russia then bombed Germany
  • In April 1945 Hitler committed suicide and kills his wife with poison pills. The minister of propaganda does the same with his wife and 6 children.
