James Halliday has died, but just a few hours after his death a short video from the man himself is sent out to the world. The video went viral, It was about a competition to win his whole fortune. The competition was named the EASTER EGG HUNT!!
Tombs of Horrors
Here is what I think....
Wade stops going to school in the real world and gets transferred to a School on Ludus in the OASIS. He can now focus more on the hunt because he'll never have to leave his computer and the OASIS because of school anymore. School in OASIS, on the other hand, is much better. The software allows Wade to mute his bullies, which is pretty handy and change how he looks to feel secure in himself.
Wade is getting more and more obsessed with the hunt and just hanging out in the OASIS. It helps him to escape the reality, the trailors. When he's in the OASIS he's in his secret hideout away from the trailors because his aunt would sell his equipment .
Wade shares his Copper Key theory with us. He believes it's hidden in the Tomb of Horrors, a recreation of the Dungeons and Dragons module of the same name. Finding the Tomb of Horrors? That's the hard part. But he makes a connection between the Latin word ludus, meaning "school," "sport," or "game," Wade decides that the Tomb of Horrors must be on the school planet, Ludus.
Wade/parzival finds the copper key!! Years went by with no one figuring out the first clue… until February 11, 2045. Parzival finds the Copper Key and his name goes to the top of the Easter egg hunt scoreboard. In the tombs of horrors he meets Art3mis his biggest crush ever!! She also earn the copper key within a few hours. The next morning, the media is ablaze with news that two people have found the Copper Key within hours of each other. It's kind of a big deal.
Wade is top 1 on the score board and IOI is on to him to help them find the copper key. He gets 5,000 messages from the head of IOI, Nolan Sorrento. They want him to cooperate
