Declaration of Independence
The first official constitution in the U.S., ratified in 1781. It provided a system for the colonies by giving the central government no power over the states or citizens.

A large assembly containing of US statesmen that drafted the United States Constitution in 1787
Constitutional Convention
An agreement between large and smaller states that disagreed with the legislative structure and representation of each state.

The US government would be divided in to three sectors executive,legislative, and judicial.
