Johnny impacts PB's actions because throughout the time PB was with Johnny PB started to have feelings for Johnny and PB listened to his friends more & to Darry more than he did before. PB cares about Johnny a lot. Johnny makes things easer for PB cause PB starts to realize how everyone felt after Johnny died. Johnny does challenge PB, and PB does grow from this because after Bob's death PB has to learn how to express his feelings to Johnny. Yes because PB got to know Johnny better and got to trust Johnny better as well.
The conflict is a choice such as everyone in his daily life the conflict does impact how PB feels. They all help him throughout the book to help him realize things throughout the book. Everyone in PB's daily life thinks that he doesn't use his head when he's not in school. It helps PB realize his feelings and shows how his other friends feel about him. PB needs to realize other people's feelings and how he treats them other than being more focused on himself and just worrying about his feelings.
PB feels a little different in the church. Pb feelings for the church do change because he starts to live there for some days and he starts to like it more than he did before. It's an easy relatively setting for PB. I think that PB has to follow rules in the church such as respecting it and loving it as if it was his own home to live in. These rules shape him because he learns how much the church means to him because he has to live in the church for a long time so he has to keep it clean for him and Johnny to sleep in it and stay there. This setting is important to PB because the church is where he and Johnny saved lots of little kids in the church when it was in fire.
