Storyboard Text

  • Apollo ridicules Cupid's power; Cupid then shoots Apollo with the arrow of love and Daphne, with the arrow of resentment towards Apollo.
  • Content yourself with kindling love affairs with your woe torch - and don't claim OUR glory!
  • I'll show him! I'll shoot him the golden arrow and to Daphne, the dull metal one.
  • Oh, Daphne...
  • Jove and Io
  • Apollo and Daphne
  • Help me dear father! If your waters hold divinity, transform me and destroy that beauty by which I have too well pleased!
  • Daphne's father morphs her into a Laurel tree. But despite this, Apollo still adores her as he felt the beat of her heart.
  • Although you cannot be my bride, you will assuredly be my own tree.
  • Jove fancied Io and took her. Juno noticed something odd; Jove intuited Juno's approach and quickly morphed Io into a calf.
  • Jove sent Mercury to kill Argus. Mercury tells the story of Syrinx. A maiden morphed into reeds to be protected from Pan. Mercury stops when he saw Argus's eyes closed.
  • Jove asks Juno to free Io from her suffering. Juno grants this as Io is morphed back into her human self, but a bit different than her old self.
