Iago has planted a seed of doubt about Desdemona and Cassio, Othello is somewhat convinced. Desdemona loses the handkerchief which Emilia picks up and gives to Iago, which he uses to carry out his plan, he plants it in Cassio's room and Othello sees Cassio with it and thinks Desdemona gave it to him. When Othello questions her about the handkerchief he is convinced she's lying.
Rodrigo starts a fight with Cassio and loses, being badly injured Emilia thinks he is dead so goes to tell Othello where he wouldn't let her in the room. But then she sees Desdemona is dead on the bed and reveals the trith about her taking the handkerchief.
After Emilia tells the truth and proves that Desdemona wasn't having an affair because Emilia exposed him Iago then kills Emilia. Othello felt upset and betrayed by Iago and believes he is the devil "I’m looking to see if you have cloven hooves like the devil. But that’s just a fairy tale. If you are a devil, I won’t be able to kill you." then he stabs himself in the heart and then Iago is taken away to be tortured.
