Storyboard Text

  • Title
  • Paraphrase
  • Connotation
  • “The Raven”, I thought it would be about a raven so something like that.
  • Attitude/Tone
  • At the beginning the narrator is resting and he hears a tapping on the door he didn’t think much about he was saying it’s a late visitor but when he opens the door he doesn't see or hear anything but something/someone saying Lenore. Then he went back to bed when he heard something at his window and when he opens it a raven flies in and the narrator asked for it’s name and it responded nevermore.
  • Shift
  • I infer that the narrator was still caught up in Lenore’s death and didn’t know what to do or how to get over it. When the raven came and the narrator asked if he would ever see Lenore again the raven said “nevermore” which the narrator didn’t know what “nevermore” means
  • Theme
  • The tone of the story is like the narrator is upset because Lenore just died and he don't know what to do about it.
  • At the beginning of the story the narrator sounded a little sad then when the raven came along he got mad and at the end he was aggravated.
  • The theme of the poem is that you can’t always help what happens to you just have to make the most of it.
