Three years ago when Lydia's schizophrenia worsened. She couldn't block out the voices telling her to keep crying, starve, be restless, or end it. She stayed crying in the corner of her dark room for weeks.
Should I tell him? No, I can't. What if he doesn't like me like that? It would be so awkward...
Those who helped her have always stayed by her side, however. Her sister Bridget and her best friend Grey always supported her. Her parents are divorced. Her father left without a goodbye and her mother is never home.
I got into New York Academy of Art! I'm so excited!
Lydia decides that she will go to a psychiatric center. One of the nurses shows Lydia her room and Bridget stands beside Lydia in support.
Since her stay at the psychiatric center, she hasn't been hearing the voices. She's happy, but also very bored. The routine is monotonous, but Grey has been visiting almost everyday just to hang with his best friend. This is the best time of day for her.
Lydia feels something towards Grey. She realizes she may be in love with him. She's too scared to tell him, however, because it might ruin their friendship. She decides not to say anything .
Grey hasn't visited Lydia in a while due to the project due for the New York Academy of Art. Finally, he visits and it brings a smile upon her face but she realizes Grey has been acting different.
