  • Finally! Every one thought we were dead.
  • This was Grizzly country. Lewis thought of the bears as no big deal untill he was chased by one for 80 meters.
  • Ocean in site! Ocean in site! The "ocean" was actually the Estuary of Columbia.
  • Chill Clark. It's just the estuary.
  • The expedition lasted for 2 years, 4 months, and 10 days. They traveled 3,700 miles to the ocean and back. They were left for dead because the trip took longer than expected.
