  • As the 3rd estate's wages dropped, the price of bread increased. This left many people hungry- causing them to revolt.
  • King Louis proposed a meeting of the Estates General in order to propose his solutions to the financial troubles. This ended up starting the French Revolution.

  • The French people finally got angry enough to storm the Bastille, a medieval fortress. This showed that they were ready to overthrow their government.
  • Created by the National Assembly after the collapse of the monarchy due to the revolution. It was used to limit the government and reestablish a new, more democratic government in France.
  • Constitution of 1791
  • The Terror was the most radical stage the French Revolution and was a period of violence that included the execution of King Louis and many other people.
  • The Terror ends and Robespierre dies. The French Revolution greatly reforms their government and equal treatment is available to everyone. Nationalism spreads and another constitution is made.
