She was born on November 12, 1815 in Johnston, New York. Elizabeth Cady Stanton had 10 brothers and sisters. Her Fathers name Daniel Cady, and her mothers name was Margret Livingston Cady. She had 16 other family members.
She went to Union College and she graduated college in New York.
In 1840 she got married to Henry Stanton.
In 1850 Elizabeth and several other women held the first women's rights convention, in Seneca Falls, New York.
In 1869 Elizabeth and her friend Suzan B. Anthony formed the National Women Suffrage Association.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton helped with women rights and a leader in fight for women's suffrage.
