  • Lexington and Concord 1775
  • "It seemed as if men came down from the clouds" ~solder
  • Bunker Hill 1775
  • "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" ~Colonel William Prescott
  • The Boston Massacre started as a riot, but soon British troops arrived.
  • Valley Forge 1777-1778
  • 'The army frequently passed whole days without food." ~Marquis de Lafayett
  • The first battles of the war
  • Guerrilla Warfare1780
  • "Their numbers did not exceed 20 men and boys, some white, some black, and all mounted, but most of them miserably equipped" ~Officer
  • This battle took place June of 1775. The Red Coats won, but their loss was great
  • Battle of Yorktown 1781
  • Not a battle, Gorge Washington and his men marched through snow.
  • Guerrilla Warfare was not a specific battle, but a way of fighting. It mainly took place in South Carolina.
  • The battle of York Town took place from August to October of 1781. The Patriots won.
