  • Hi i'm James Madison and i think we should use the Virginia Plan. It states that there would be 2 house of Congress and votes/ Representation based on population.
  • I'm William Paterson i think we should use the New Jersey that states that there wold be 1 house of Congress and representation would be based off one state=onevote.
  • Great Compromise
  • Ok sure.
  • Roger Sherman-How about a compromise. We could have 2 legislatures: houses of representatives and a Sente. There would be an equal number of representatives for each state to the Sente.
  • In the square above it shows the Summer of Philadelphia when it was a harsh summer. The heat was very bad and there were many mosquitoes. On top of that people were dumping waste into the streets which caused a bad stench.

  • Federalists/ Anti-Federalist
  • We Anti-Federalists are against the making if the Constitution. We would rather have the states be in power, but we could make a compromise only if you make a Bill of Rights.
  • In this square, it shows the 3/5ths compromise when Southern states thought that slaves should be counted as any other person and Northern delegates thought they should count as property.
  • What should we do about the counting of slaves for popuation?
  • Northern-We disagree. We think that slaves should be counted as property because they aren't allowed to vote.
  • In this square the 3/5s compromise was made about slave population for representing in Congress. This was made by James Wilson and Roger Sherman. This upset delegates who said th Declaration of Independence states that " All men are created equal".

  • In this square it shows how the Federalists and Anti- Federalists had totally different opinions. but the federalists soon agreed to make a compromise where the federalists would make a Bill of Rights.
  • We federalists think that there should be stronger national government and there should be ratification. But we could add a Bill of Rights for you all.
