  • "The gods! Intolerable!"
  • The gods don't honor bad men.
  • "Money!"
  • Choragos is blaming the gods of burying Polyneices. Creon is getting angry with Choragos because he believes the gods could not have done such a thing.
  • "The man who has does this thing shall pay for it!"
  • "The gods favor this corpse? Why? How had he served them?" Creon argues that the gods would not have done this since they don't approve of Polyneices actions.
  • You're next!
  • "There's nothing in the world so demoralizing as money." Creon realizes the guards must have been bribed into letting someone bury the body.
  • Look what you have gotten yourself into.
  • Creon yells to Choragos to bring the man who committed the crime to him to be be punished.
  • "Find the man, bring him her o me, or your death will be the least of your problems: I'll string you alive."
