Please don't take me!
Since the king was impatient, the robbers took Remus to Numitor's house (King Amulius' brother). That was when Numitor realized that Remus looked familiar.
He stole your sheep
That was the moment of truth. Numitor explained that King Amulius has not succeeded in his reign. As a result, the brothers will take the throne.
As a result, Numitor, the twins, Faustulus, and Laurentia went to live in the palace. One day, King Numitor asked the twins to bulid another city. That resulted in the twins arguing.
So, they decided to ask the Gods which twin should be ruler. Romulus waited on Palatine hill, while Remus will wait on Aventine hill.
I'll wait on Palatine Hill!
I'll wait on Aventine Hill!
In the end, Romulus became king. One legend says whoever had the most birds became king while another said that Remus was killed by lightning. As a result, a new city was built on Palatine hill and the city was named Rome.
