The Parable of the Great Banquet: Luke 14:15-24
Blessed is the one who will dine in the kingdom of God
A man gave a great dinner to which he invited many. When the time for dinner came, he sent his servant to say to those invited,
Come, everything is now ready
I cannot come, plese consider me excused
Master, your guests have excused themselves from your dinner
Go quickly out into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the blind, the crippled, and the lame
Come, you are invited to a banquet prepared by my master
Sir, your order has been carried out, but there is still room
Go out to the highways and hedgerows and make people come in so that my home may be filled. For I tell you, none of those men who were invited will taste my dinner.
