Storyboard Text

  • Jesus is born, in the city of David called Bethlehem. He is wrapped in bands of cloth and laid in a manger as there was no place for them in the inn. His parents are Mary the virgin and Joseph. After Jesus and his parents had finished everything required by the law of the Lord they returned to their own town in Nazareth. There he grew and become strong.
  • Jesus' ministry in Galilee. Jesus traveled around Galilee with his disciples, spreading and sharing the message of Christianity as well as God to many different groups of people. The ministry of Jesus begins with his baptism in the countryside of Roman Judea, near the river Jordan and ends in Jerusalem, following the Last Supper with his disciples.
  • Jesus told many parables and performed many miracles on the way to Jerusalem. Jesus often taught parables to his followers in the Eastern literary genre, they were moral lessons for them. He also performed miracles for people demonstrating his  power over nature and spirits.
  • Jesus has conflict with Religious authorities and leaders. This conflict started because the religious authorities believed that they were chosen by God to be the leaders and the guardians of the people of Israel. To act against them is to act against God. Jesus questions the authority of their leadership and puts in danger the spiritual well-being of the people of Israel. For this reason, Jesus is a great threat to them.
  • Jesus is crucified and dies on the cross. There are to other men, who were criminals, were being put to death next to him. When it was noon and darkness came over, Jesus cried, "Father! Into your hands I commit my spirit!", then he died.
  • Jesus' resurrected on Sunday, two days after the crucifixion. On the first day of the week Mary and Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tomb and found that his body wasn't there. Suddenly two men stood beside them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' They remembered his words and told the disciples.
