  • Be A Man And Fight For Your Country!
  • Rationalizing food made it possible to send more food for the soldiers in battle. The people would take smaller amounts of food in order to have enough for everyone.

  • Many young Americans were drafted, or forced, to go into the army due to the shortage of men. 
  • US Army Nurse Corps
  • A Liberty bond (or liberty loans) was a war bond that was sold in the United States to support the allied cause in World War I.
  • Victory Gardens
  • Propaganda was the action of getting the American people to either join or help out in the war effort.
  • Do your part at home 
  • Nurses helped injured soldiers in battle. They were very helpful.
  • These gardens were planted to increase food production during the war.
