  • Ty has entered his fourth grade classroom and greets his one on one aide. Ty is a student with autism spectrum disorders (ASD)
  • Good morning Ty. Take a seat on your cushion and then look your schedule.
  • Ty's Schedule: *=reading %=math ^=recess
  • The teacher begins her instructions and the class is asking many questions and the noise level increases.

  • Here Ty let's get your weighted vest on...
  • Ty's Schedule: *=reading %=math ^=recess
  • TAP, TAP, TAP. too noisy!
  • The students later gather around the table of instructions. Ty is wearing his ear muffs and vest to make him feel grounded.
