The Renaissance was a time for new ideas and different types of art. The Renaissance originated in Florence, Italy around 1400 A.D.
One important scientist from the Renaissance is Robert Hooke. He is a very important scientist because he discovered cells.
The founder of the printing press is Johannes Gutenberg. He was born in Germany. The printing press was a very innovative idea since books had to be handwritten. With his invention, books became cheaper and more people were buying them.
The Reformation was a time of reforming the Roman Catholic church and later lead to Protestant churches.
There were also many people involved during the Reformation. One man was Martin Luther. He wrote the 95 Theses which was about why indulgences were wrong . Another man was John Calvin. He created Calvanism, which believed in predestination.
There was a big impact from the Renaissance. We have many new inventions and different artworks. There are also more types of religions because of the Renaissance.
