Storyboard Text

  • Jason is leaving
  • Breaking up...
  • How the event propels the plot forward
  • Jason is Macy's "perfect" boyfriend, and he is leaving to Brain Camp while Macy stays at home. Jason wants her to take his shifts at the library while he is gone but Macy is unsure if the girls that work there will be nice to her
  • Macy goes to see if Delia will hire her
  • Macy really misses Jason but Jason doesn't seem to feel the same way. Also when she talks about her problems with the girls at the library, Jason just gets mad and says she should be focusing on her job. Eventually they break up and Macy realizes that he wasn't right for her.
  • Getting the job
  • Jason going to brain camp propels the action forward. If Jason hadn’t went to camp then Macy wouldn’t have to work in the library where she is unwelcomed. The girls that work there give her the cold shoulder and think that she is not able to take on the task. Also Jason and her would never have broken up. If this didn’t happen then Macy wouldn’t feel so confused and feel like she is a disappointment.
  • How the event propels the plot forward
  • Macy goes to see Delia (the owner of the company Wish, a catering business) to ask if she can help out and maybe start working there. When she gets there she meets two sisters, Kristy and Monica and also finds out that Delia needs lots of help.
  • Delia ends up hiring Macy and Macy makes friends with the people she works with. She hangs out with them after shifts and she feels like she can relate to them. Its the first time in a long time that Macy feels happy and carefree again.
  • Macy starting to work at Wish catering propels the action forward. This is because when she starts working there she finds people that care about her and help her out. She also can relate to her co-workers because she lost her dad and her co-workers lost their mom. Macy usually feels very lonely but now she has another family that she is always with.
