The Master crows was perched on the tree holding a piece of cheese in his beak, when the fox came to visit him
The fox, quickly intrigued by the smell, started the conversation by flattering Master Crow " Well Hello Mister Crow ! , How pretty are you ! You seem beautiful to me"
To keep the flattery the fox tells him that he is the phoenix of inhabitants of this forest. hearing his words the crow seems overjoyed
he decides to open his beak wide open and let his cheese fall into the fox's mouth
after finally acquiring the only thing that the fox wanted he tells the crow " My good man , learn that every flatterer lives at the expense of who listens to him "
The crow was very ashamed and embarrassed . The moral of the fable is that the fox who is a liar tricks everyone into believing what he says so the people in high positions like the crow always ends up supporting them .
“Learn that all flatterers live at the expense of the one who listens to him”.
