Storyboard Text

  • Oh no! Look how my earing's blackened
  • Next time get one made of a nobel element like silver an gold.
  • You're right! How'd you know?
  • An element? What's that?
  • An element is a pure substance made of one kind of atom. Noble element doesn't react easily. More than one type of atom is called a compound. All the elemants are arranged in the periodic table. Lets look it up
  • Good idea.
  • An element is a chemical substance consisting of the same atoms. There are 118 elements.
  • I read a bit of my sisters text book. It also said different atoms had different numbers of protons, neutrons and electrons. All the atoms of an eleenmt have to have the same number of protons and electrons
  • Elements are written using their first letter(s). If these are taken, they use others. Eg, Soium- Na
  • But what's the periodic table that you mentioned?
  • I'm not exactly sure. I've got to go now. Why don't you ask your parents?
