  • Act II, Scene VI
  • Act III, Scene I
  • Act III, Scene I
  • "... Mercurio's soul is but a little way above our heads... either thou, or I, or both, must go with him" (Act III, scene I, line 122).
  • Romeo and Juliet meet at Friar Laurence´s cell where they get married.
  • Act III, Scene II
  • Benvolio, Mercutio, and Romeo encounter Tybalt. Tybalt challenges Romeo but Romeo does not fight back. As a result, Mercutio fights Tybalt and Tybalt wins.
  • Act III, Scene III
  • Since Tybalt killed Mercutio, Romeo decides to kill him. This causes the Prince to banish Romeo.
  • Act III, Scene IV
  • The nurse tells Juliet about Tybalt´s death and the consequenc that Romeo will have.
  • "Tybalt is gone, and Romeo banished; Romeo that kill'd him, he is banished" (Act III, scene II, line 71).
  • Romeo and Juliet have their wedding night.
  • Lord Capulet decides Juliet will marry Paris on Thursday.
  • "... Thursday, tell her, she shall be married to this noble earl" (Act III, scene III, line 20).
