  • The Prologue
  • Two star-crossed lovers
  • Act 1.1
  • " do bite my thumb sir."
  • "Do you bite your thumb sir?"
  • You both have honorabe reputations, and its too bad you've been enemies for so long. But what do you say to my request.
  • Act 1.2
  • I can only repeat what i said before. My daughter is still very young. She is not even 14 years old. Lets wait two more summers before we start thinking she is ready to get married.
  • Two kids of fatal enemies which are the Caplulets and Montagues. They fall in love as soon as they see eachother.
  • Act 1.3
  • How now, who calls?
  • In the town Verona, two capulet servants are hanging out and trashtalking the Montagues.
  • Act 1.4
  • Where the devil should this Romeo be? Came he not home tonight?
  • Paris asks Capulet for Juliet's hand in marriage. Capulet thinks she's too young, but tells Paris to woo her
  • Act 1.5
  • Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this, For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.
  • Lady Capulet wants to have a serious conversation with Juliet, but the Nurse interrupts with a long reminiscence about Juliet's weaning and what Juliet said about falling on her back.
  • Now, by my maidenhead at twelve year old I bade her come. What, lamb! What, ladybird! God forbid! Where’s this girl? What, Juliet!
  • Nurse, wheres my daughter, call her forth to me.
  • Mercutio tries to persuade Romeo to dance at Capulet's feast, but Romeo insists that he is too sadly love-lorn to do anything but hold a torch.
  • Not to his father’s. I spoke with his man
  • Romeo sees Juliet and says to himself that this is the first time he's seen true beauty.
  • What lady is that which doth enrich the hand Of yonder knight?
